Final Texts of the Chile-Colombia Free Trade Agreement
  Background and Negotiations
   

Chile and Colombia concluded free trade negotiations on October 30, 2006 after two rounds of negotiation: the first one in Santiago de Chile, on October 9-14; and the second one in Baranquilla, Colombia on October 23-27, 2006. The free trade agreement was signed on November 27, 2006 in Santiago de Chile.

  Entry into Force
   

On 15 January 2008 the Chilean Senate's commissions on Foreign Affairs and Treasury approved the Chile-Colombia FTA.

The Chile-Colombia Free Trade Agreement entered into force on 08 May 2009.

  Implementation of the Agreement
   

Art. 15.1 of the Chile-Colombia FTA provides for the establishment of a free trade commission, which will meet at least once a year.

On 15 November 2010, Chile and Colombia introduced modifications to the specific rules of origin contained in Annex 4.1 of the Chile-Colombia FTA.
